About

One author.
Many languages.

Composer, writer, librettist and creator of musical worlds—working wherever sound, story and the stage meet.

Wojciech Hendryk Stawiński was born in Wrocław in 1969. He has been creating music for decades, first as the founder and long-time leader of La Foy, and later as an author working across song, theatre, cinematic music and large-scale productions.

His practice resists a single job title. He composes, writes scripts and librettos, develops stage concepts and builds the dramatic architecture of live experiences. The common element is always narrative: music must reveal a character, change the temperature of a scene or open the door to an entirely new world.

He is the librettist and co-composer of OPERAP: The Blind, and the creator of original projects including HAMLET.EXE, Hollywood in Dance, Club 27 Symphonically and Electric Symphony.

Working principle

“I am interested in the moment when music stops illustrating a world—and begins to create it.”
